Marcela Angulo
Civil Engineer and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Concepción, with over 25 years of experience in sustainability, innovation, and technology transfer. She joined the CNEP in 2025.
She is currently Director of the Santiago Campus of the University of Concepción, Chair of the Board of CFT Lota–Arauco, and an independent board member at Colbún and Suralis. She also serves on the boards or advisory councils of CPC Biobío, the Infrastructure Policy Council, IncubaUdeC, ITREND, the Chile Massachusetts Foundation, and is a member of Espacio Público.
Between 2014 and 2018, she was Manager of Technological Capabilities at CORFO, where she led programs for technological development, science–industry linkage, and knowledge transfer. Previously, she served as Corporate Manager of Sustainability at Anglo American, where she actively participated in the Sustainability, Water Resources, and Energy and Climate Change Committees of the Mining Council.
From 2003 to 2011, she was Environment and Energy Manager at Fundación Chile, promoting projects in water efficiency, water technologies, environmental monitoring, and clean energy. Before that, she led Clean Production and technological incubation programs at INTEC–Chile, and was part of the founding team of the Talcahuano Environmental Recovery Plan (PRAT), a pioneering initiative of CONAMA.
