Pameja Jervis
PhD in Economics from University College London (UCL), where she also earned MPhil and MRes degrees in Economics. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Chile. Her research focuses on human capital, early childhood, policy evaluation, and household behavior.
She has worked at the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) in London, focusing on early stimulation and nutrition programs, as well as high-quality preschool interventions in India. She has developed and evaluated programs in countries such as India, Gambia, and Colombia, and studied how social norms and intrafamily dynamics affect parental investment in education and child well-being.
She has served as a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Jacobs Foundation, and Oxford Policy Management, among others. She is currently an academic at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Chile and an associate researcher at centers such as MIPP, J-PAL LAC, and the Center for Public Systems.
