Susana Mondschein
PhD in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Industrial Civil Engineer and Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Chile. Specialist in applied stochastic models, with research in healthcare management, epidemiology, revenue management, and pricing policies.
She has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Chile, the J.J. Aguirre Hospital, and INTA, as well as with MIT and national hospitals. She led the study on inequality in colorectal cancer survival in Chile (2009–2018), which revealed significant gaps by socioeconomic level and region.
She was a researcher in home-based COVID-19 patient monitoring projects and has taught at Yale University and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Chile and a researcher at the Institute for Complex Engineering Systems (ISCI).
